AAP Challenges BJP's Holi Promise: Free Cooking Gas Cylinders for Women
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has criticized the ruling BJP in Delhi for not delivering on its election promise to provide free cooking gas cylinders to women on Holi. AAP's Atishi questioned the BJP’s commitment, labeling it a potential gimmick alongside the delayed Mahila Samriddhi Yojana scheme.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a scathing critique on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi, accusing it of failing to uphold its commitment of offering free cooking gas cylinders to women during Holi celebrations.
At a press conference, AAP leader and former Delhi CM Atishi pressed the ruling party for explanations, eagerly awaiting the fulfillment of promises made to the women in the capital.
The BJP had vowed, in its electoral manifesto, to distribute gas cylinders to women from financially challenged backgrounds for Rs 500, plus two free refills during Holi and Diwali. However, the AAP claims the BJP has faltered on this promise, reflecting broader concerns about the party's delivery on its Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, which promised Rs 2,500 monthly aid to impoverished women.
