In a striking announcement on Tuesday, Congress candidate Sandeep Dikshit declared his intention to file defamation lawsuits against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and AAP Member of Parliament Sanjay Singh. The legal action stems from allegations accusing Dikshit of accepting monetary funds from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing the media, Dikshit outlined his plans to demand Rs 10 crores in a defamation suit, which he intends to allocate toward Yamuna river cleaning initiatives and broader pollution reduction efforts in Delhi. Dikshit criticized the AAP's leadership, questioning their motivations and timing of welfare schemes amidst the impending assembly elections.

Dikshit further challenged former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, questioning his ability to implement proposed welfare schemes if re-elected. Pitted against Kejriwal in the New Delhi assembly seat, Dikshit called for accountability, asking why such initiatives weren't introduced earlier during AAP's tenure.
