On Monday, Aam Aadmi Party MP Malvinder Singh Kang openly criticized the central government's persistent indifference to the demands of farmers engaged in protests at the Punjab-Haryana border.
Kang, representing Anandpur Sahib, implored the central authorities to initiate immediate dialogue to resolve the stalemate, spotlighting the severe health deterioration of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, a farmer leader on a hunger strike for over a month.
The AAP leader lambasted the Centre for its lack of engagement despite repeated initiatives by the Punjab government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's leadership, to establish communication channels. Kang emphasized the urgency in addressing the farmers' concerns, citing the Supreme Court's recent call for dialogue.
