A contentious incident in Deoli-Uniara saw independent candidate Naresh Meena allegedly slap area magistrate Amit Chaudhary, highlighting tensions surrounding a local boycott. Despite the fray, voting persisted at an orderly pace throughout the day in Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Deoli-Uniara, Khinvsar, Chorasi, Salumber, and Ramgarh.
These elections are especially critical for the ruling BJP and its chief minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, after a troubling Lok Sabha performance. Results from the vote will emerge on November 23, posing a further assessment of political alignments in Rajasthan.
