Brave Soldier's Dream Dies with Him

Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, an Indian Army soldier from Barnog village in Punjab, was killed in action during an encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir.
Kumar, who belonged to the 2 Para (Special Forces), had hoped to rebuild his house, which was damaged by last year's monsoon, in January next year. His plans were cut short by his untimely demise.
The news has left Kumar's family in deep shock. State officials, including Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, have expressed grief, honoring Kumar's sacrifice for the nation.
