In a heartwarming display of unity, jawans of the Indian Army celebrated Diwali alongside local villagers in Uri, situated in the Baramulla sector near the Line of Control (LOC). The celebration was marked by the lighting of diyas, exchanging of gifts, and sharing of sweets.

Villagers expressed their gratitude, highlighting how the army stands with them during festivals like Eid, affirming the deep bond between the border community and the Indian Army. The occasion, known as the 'Festival of Lights', symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.

In a parallel celebration, Gujarat's Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar is illuminated with 10,000 diyas. As part of the Diwali festivities, a 55-foot idol of Bhagwan Swaminarayan is being installed, with the Pranpratishtha ceremony scheduled for November 11.
