The BJP has accused the AAP government of denying Delhi residents better health infrastructure by not implementing the PM-ABHIM scheme. According to the BJP, the AAP's inaction has resulted in a significant setback for the citizens of Delhi.
In a recent letter to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, Vijender Gupta, the Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, demanded that the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) be put into action. Gupta alleged that the AAP government failed to utilize Rs 2,406 crore provided by the central government meant to enhance healthcare facilities in the capital.
Gupta further alleged that the AAP government outsourced lab services in public hospitals to a favored private company, purportedly facilitating corruption. He claimed that the AAP government deliberately circulated the PM-ABHIM file without action to prevent the benefits from reaching Delhi's citizens.
