Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Monday that a BJP-led government in Jharkhand would establish a committee to identify illegal immigrants, ensuring their removal and reclaiming lands appropriated by them. This pledge was made during an election rally in Seraikela, where Shah also advocated for new legislation to halt land transfers to infiltrators marrying tribal women.
Shah criticized the current JMM-led administration, suggesting former CM Champai Soren had been ousted for raising immigration concerns. He accused the coalition's leaders of corruption and pledged that BJP governance would add funds to federal allocations, ensuring financial efficiency in welfare distributions.
In a further campaign meeting in Tamar, Shah condemned the Congress as politically unstable, alleging JMM and Congress leaders view tribal citizens merely as votes. Shah's rhetoric emphasized restoring prosperity to Jharkhand and preventing the exploitation of its tribal population by infiltrators.
