In a stirring public address on Monday, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav warned those carrying out lathi charges that they might experience the same harsh measures in the future. He spoke during a rally in Kundarki, Moradabad, ahead of the critical November 20 bypolls.
Yadav condemned the recent treatment of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission aspirants in Prayagraj, who were protesting exam schedule changes. He alleged that the government's aggressive stance aimed to suppress demonstrators due to diminishing public support.
Targeting the BJP government's policies, Yadav championed the PDA—a coalition of marginalized communities—as a symbol of constructive politics. He cited recent Supreme Court penalties against the state government as evidence of its mismanagement and committed to ousting the BJP from power both in Delhi and Lucknow.
