Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has confidently dismissed opposition claims that the BJP intends to alter the Constitution as false, asserting that this narrative has been 'finished' and will not affect the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.
Speaking at a campaign rally in his Nagpur South West constituency, Fadnavis told television reporters that the public supports their position, in contrast to the narrative during the Lok Sabha elections where the BJP sought over 400 seats.
The Mahayuti alliance, comprising the BJP, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, is aiming for a majority win in the assembly polls set for November 20, with results to be declared on November 23. Fadnavis has held the Nagpur South West seat since its creation in 2009.
