The Shiv Sena Dogra Front (SSDF) took to the streets on Monday, burning a Pakistani flag in protest against a terror attack that claimed the life of a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in Kishtwar. The group called for a white paper on the government's response to recent attacks against army personnel.
Security officials report an alarming spread of militant activities across six new districts in the Jammu region, escalating the fatality count to 44 this year, including 18 security personnel. After the recent loss of two Village Defence Guards in Akhnoor, linked to the Kashmir Tigers, an offshoot of Jaish-e-Mohammad, SSDF President Ashok Gupta emphasized the need for action.
Gupta criticized the government's inaction over 15 terror incidents and urged a detailed disclosure on terrorist origins, refuge locations, and their supporters. He pressed for the dismantling of Over Ground Workers and emphasized that mere talks are insufficient without actionable ground measures.
