On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his shock and condolences following the passing of Devender Singh Rana, BJP MLA and prominent Jammu and Kashmir leader.
Using social media platform X, PM Modi remarked on Rana's untimely demise, highlighting his contributions to the progress of Jammu and Kashmir. Rana had recently secured an election victory in the Assembly polls, significantly strengthening the BJP's presence in the region.
Devender Singh Rana, brother of Union Minister Jitendra Singh, was undergoing medical treatment in Haryana's Faridabad when he passed away. His political journey saw him as a major figure in the Jammu region before his switch to the BJP in 2021.
