Kalidas Kolambkar, an eight-time member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, advised fellow legislators to engage in politics with genuine commitment to public service, aiming for even a ninth term. Kolambkar, running from the Wadala seat in the forthcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, shared insights into his political journey.

Having switched allegiance from Shiv Sena to Congress and finally to BJP, Kolambkar has maintained an unbroken record since 1990. Speaking to ANI, he highlighted his consistent electoral success, citing dedication as the secret. In an area where re-election is rare, Kolambkar believes his name deserves a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The upcoming elections, set for November, feature a contest between the opposition MVA alliance and the ruling Mahayuti coalition.
