Satyendar Jain, a prominent AAP leader, has returned home after more than two years of incarceration, reflecting on his experiences of isolation in prison. Despite time in an 8x8-foot solitary confinement cell, he turned to books to cope, and plans to share his story in a forthcoming book, 'Mohalla Clinic and Beyond'.
Jain, who was arrested amid allegations of money laundering, asserts that despite the arrests of AAP leaders in what he terms 'false cases', the party's reputation remains unscathed, withstanding the BJP's attempts to tarnish it. The former minister assures supporters that AAP is steadfast in its mission against corruption.
Released on bail last month, Jain recounts the difficulties faced, including health issues that required surgery. He denies receiving special treatment in jail, instead adhering to a frugal diet based on religious practices. With an eye towards the upcoming Diwali celebrations and the Delhi Assembly polls, Jain is embracing his newfound freedom and rekindling family ties.
