In a notable political shift, former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillor Ram Narayan Bhardwaj was formally inducted into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday. The event happened at the BJP's Delhi unit office.

The Delhi BJP president, Virendra Sachdeva, along with North West Delhi Member of Parliament Yogender Chandolia, extended a warm welcome to Bhardwaj. The brief ceremony included the presentation of a 'patka' and sweets to the new party member.

Bhardwaj had served as a councillor for AAP in the North Delhi Municipal Corporation's Bakaner ward from 2017 to 2022, Sachdeva noted in his social media announcement.
