Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday reiterated her vow to stand with families in Wayanad, following in the footsteps of her brother, Rahul Gandhi. Priyanka highlighted the life-changing effects of the Rahul Gandhi Kaithangu Project for Wayanad native, Siji, a mother of three, underlining the transformative impact made by the MP's funding initiative.
Siji's story, shared by Priyanka, is one of remarkable resilience and determination. She emphasized how, as a single mother residing in Mukkam, Siji has provided her children, two of whom have special needs, with a safe and loving home environment. Priyanka praised Siji's grit as exemplary of the spirit found in many Wayanad families.
Making her electoral debut, Priyanka Gandhi will contest the upcoming by-election against LDF's veteran Sathyan Mokeri and BJP's Navya Haridas. The by-election follows Rahul Gandhi's vacancy of the seat after his victory in the Rai Bareli constituency. Voting is scheduled for November 13.
