The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has escalated its disciplinary measures, announcing the suspension of seven additional rebel candidates on Sunday night. This action comes in the run-up to the assembly elections, marking a total of 28 suspensions across 22 constituencies.
Among the newly suspended figures are Shamkant Saner, Rajendra Thakur, and Aba Bagul, joining others previously ousted. These individuals face punitive measures for opposing the official nominations of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
The Maharashtra elections, set for November 20, see the MVA coalition contesting the Mahayuti alliance, highlighting fierce political rivalry as both sides vie for control.
