Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah has accused the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of engaging in appeasement politics, compromising Maharashtra's social fabric for electoral gains.
Speaking at a rally in Jalgaon's Raver constituency, Shah criticized the MVA for supporting the Ulema Association's demand for a 10 percent job and education reservation for Muslims. He argued this could detract from the benefits intended for Dalits, tribals, and Other Backward Classes due to the 50 percent quota cap.
Shah asserted BJP's dedication to the welfare of all communities while firmly opposing religion-based reservations. He condemned the MVA for jeopardizing national security and votes, drawing historical parallels with opposition to the Ram Temple's construction, which only gained momentum under PM Narendra Modi.
