The Congress has declared its candidates for the upcoming bypolls in four Punjab assembly seats, scheduled for November 13. Among the contenders are Amrita Warring, wife of Ludhiana MP Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, and Jatinder Kaur, wife of Gurdaspur MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.
These bypolls have been necessitated following the election of sitting MLAs to the Lok Sabha. Prominent figures in the fray include Amrita Warring for Gidderbaha, Jatinder Kaur for Dera Baba Nanak, and Kuldeep Singh Dhillon for Barnala. Ranjit Kumar has been fielded for the Chabbewal (SC) seat.
With the elections drawing near, the final day for submitting nominations is October 25, and withdrawals are due by October 30. Vote counting will occur on November 23, determining the outcome of these crucial bypolls for the Congress in Punjab.
