India-Sri Lanka Diplomatic Talks: Bridging Challenges and Fisheries Dispute

The discussions touched upon expediting project completion funded by Indian loans and finding resolutions to the fishermen dispute between Indian and Sri Lankan personnel in the Palk Strait.

The Palk Strait dispute remains a sticking point in bilateral relations, with allegations of illegal entries by fishermen from both countries. India's progression toward a peaceful and stable Sri Lanka remains a key diplomatic goal.
