Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLA Kalpana Soren, on Monday, claimed that the BJP is orchestrating a 'conspiracy' by holding assembly elections in the state ahead of schedule.
Speaking at a rally in Giridih, she expressed concern over the timing of the polls, which have been reduced from five phases to two. Kalpana, the wife of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, alleged this move favors the BJP.
Kalpana Soren criticised the decision to cut polling hours in rural areas, arguing it disadvantages rural voters who largely support Hemant Soren. The Election Commission dismissed JMM's allegations, citing efforts to extend voting hours compared to previous elections.
