In a scathing critique of the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in Karnataka, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy declared that the administration would not endure past 2028.

Kumaraswamy, a former Karnataka Chief Minister himself, asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party is not plotting the government's downfall. Instead, he claimed that internal discord among Congress MLAs and public discontent are threatening to destabilize the state leadership. He highlighted the difficulty Congress MLAs face in engaging with their constituencies due to a lack of funds.

With ambitions of reclaiming the chief ministerial role before 2028, Kumaraswamy conveyed his confidence of receiving public support once again. He reminisced about the achievements of his 14-month administration, despite operating under another party's influence. Kumaraswamy criticized the current state corruption and urged a meeting with CM Siddaramaiah to address job losses at KIOCL, underscoring the urgent need for governmental accountability.
