Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole has voiced concerns over the upcoming assembly elections, alleging a lack of transparency following accusations from the opposition coalition, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), against the ruling alliance of manipulating voter lists.

Patole claimed that legitimate voters are being removed, and fictitious names are being added, as echoed by Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut. They allege systematic efforts to sway election outcomes, accusing the Election Commission of bias under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's influence.

This intensified the election landscape, with the MVA submitting a report to the Election Commission, accusing the BJP-led Mahayuti of unconstitutional practices. NCP leader Jitendra Awhad called the situation grave, citing tech misuse to alter voter demographics.
