The Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has attributed the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) electoral success in Haryana and a strong performance in Jammu & Kashmir to the effectiveness of the Narendra Modi government.
Praful Patel, NCP working president, officially announced Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will contest from Baramati in the upcoming assembly elections, putting to rest rumors of Pawar eyeing another constituency.
Regarding seat-sharing, the Mahayuti coalition has reached an agreement on 230 constituencies, with plans to address any remaining differences. Patel criticized opposition narratives predicting a BJP loss due to farmer protests and social unrest, emphasizing increased BJP support.
