Junior doctors in West Bengal continue their fast-unto-death demonstration, deeming Wednesday night's discussion with officials as largely unproductive. The talks, which spanned over two hours beyond midnight, left the doctors dissatisfied.
The protesting doctors stated that the state government failed to provide any concrete measures, offering only verbal assurances instead of written directives to address their concerns regarding the improvement of the healthcare system and enhancing safety measures within medical college campuses.
The meeting, held at Swasthya Bhawan in Salt Lake, saw participation from around 20 representatives from various medical colleges. The state's delegation included high-ranking officials such as Chief Secretary Manoj Pant, Home Secretary Nandi Mukherjee, and DGP Rajeev Kumar.
