A deadly Russian ballistic missile attack on Ukraine's southern Odesa region on Wednesday has left five people dead and nine others injured, according to Deputy Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba.

In a statement released on the Telegram messaging app, Kuleba revealed that the Panamanian-flagged container ship, Shui Spirit, was damaged in the assault.

This incident marks the third consecutive attack on the port infrastructure of Chornomorsk in the past four days.
