The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, consisting of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP), is on the brink of finalizing its seat-sharing arrangement for the imminent Maharashtra state assembly elections. This was confirmed by Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole on Wednesday.
Elections are scheduled for next month, and the coalition has meticulously discussed seat allocations for all 288 constituencies, with Patole affirming, 'There is no dispute'. These comments were made following a meeting with alliance leaders at the YB Chavan Centre, South Mumbai.
The coalition is focused on replacing what Patole described as the current 'corrupt, anti-Maharashtra, and anti-farmer government'. Talks will resume on October 11 to solidify their strategies for the election campaign.
