Trump Declines to Debate Harris Again in Heated Election Battle
Donald Trump has refused an invitation to debate Kamala Harris before the November 5 U.S. elections, citing timing issues. This follows their September 10 debate where Harris challenged Trump on several topics. Polls indicate a close race between the candidates, with Harris slightly leading.
Donald Trump, the Republican former president, announced on Wednesday he would not participate in another debate against Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. This decision comes after Fox News extended an invitation for a second debate on October 24 or 27. Trump and Harris previously faced off on September 10.
The contest between Trump and Harris remains tightly contested, with less than a month until the November 5 elections. Fox News suggested a second debate could give each candidate the chance to present their final arguments to the electorate. However, Trump insists there will be no rematch before election day.
In a recent statement on Truth Social, Trump declared, 'THERE WILL BE NO REMATCH,' emphasizing the timing issue. Previously debating Joe Biden in June, Trump gained an edge, particularly after Biden withdrew. Polls show Harris has since closed the gap, leveraging a strong performance in the first debate.
