In a scathing attack, BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accused the Congress party of disseminating falsehoods and collaborating with anti-national forces to secure electoral victories. This came after the BJP's decisive win in Haryana, which Poonawalla claimed was a repudiation of Congress's attempts to sow discord and manipulate public sentiment against the BJP.
Poonawalla criticized Congress for alleging discrepancies within the electoral process, particularly concerning voter data. He mocked the party's pattern of questioning democratic processes when outcomes are unfavorable, contrasting it with their acceptance when the results favor them. The BJP spokesperson highlighted this as a recurring strategy of the Congress.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission refuted Congress allegations of undue delays in updating Haryana election results, labeling them as "ill-founded." The Commission countered Congress's claims, suggesting they undermined the credibility of democratic institutions without substantive evidence.
