Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora has directed district police heads to patrol their areas every 15 days as the Haryana elections and festive season approach, an official confirmed on Wednesday.

In a recent meeting at the police headquarters, Arora urged senior officers to increase their presence in vulnerable zones, isolated stretches, and crowded markets. He specified that the three DCPs (Deputy Commissioners of Police) in each district should patrol daily between 7 pm and 10 pm for 15 days, a senior police officer reported.

With Delhi divided into 15 districts, each led by a DCP, the directive also involves Additional DCPs and mandates a rotation system for patrolling duties. Police sources revealed that ACPs and SHOs would also increase their patrols as part of the initiative.
