Senior CPI(M) leader M Y Tarigami declared on Tuesday that public opinion trends indicate a probable victory for the NC-Congress alliance, demonstrating a significant shift against the BJP and its policies.

Tarigami, representing the NC-Congress coalition, highlighted the absence of civilian representation in Jammu & Kashmir since 2018, coming under bureaucratic governance and LG rule.

He expressed optimism that the electoral trends mark the beginning of secular parties forming the government, opposing the BJP's stance, and welcomed the potential support from PDP President Mehbooba Mufti.
