Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLA Kalpana Soren has launched a fierce attack on the BJP-led central government, accusing it of exploiting Jharkhand's mineral wealth without fairly compensating the state.
Addressing a rally in Garhwa, Soren accused the Centre of a 'step-motherly' attitude towards Jharkhand and highlighted the persistent issue of unpaid dues, amounting to Rs 1.36 lakh crore, that the JMM-led state government has been demanding from the Centre.
The rally, part of the Maiya Samman Yatra, aims to unite voters ahead of upcoming assembly elections. Soren also defended her husband, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who faced imprisonment and delays in the disbursement of funds under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojna due to alleged central government conspiracies.
