In a significant development, the Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi excise policy case. Congress leader Pramod Tiwari welcomed the court's unanimous decision and accused the central government of misusing central agencies to target opposition parties.
RJD MP Manoj Jha also praised the court's ruling, emphasizing that it sends a clear message to the BJP. Jha argued that the case against Kejriwal was fabricated and highlighted the potential for these agencies to target those in power today when political tides change.
Contrastingly, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari maintained that the bail order does not exonerate Kejriwal, pointing out that the court merely validated his arrest. Bhandari criticized celebrations by AAP, noting that Kejriwal remains restricted from official duties despite his release.
