Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has criticized Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot for requesting reports on what he calls 'trivial matters', including the Arkavathy Layout denotification scam involving Siddaramaiah during his first term.
Siddaramaiah hit back at the BJP for their inaction during their tenure, particularly regarding Justice H S Kempanna Commission's report on the alleged scam. He noted that the current government is reviewing various aspects before deciding on making the report public.
The Governor had written to Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh seeking a copy of the Kempanna Commission's report, which was submitted in 2017 but not disclosed. Siddaramaiah questioned the necessity of such reports on minor issues and stated the government is examining the Governor's requests.
