A senior police officer disclosed that Munirathna was detained in Kolar and subsequently brought to Bengaluru, where he was formally arrested in connection with the cases. The Rajarajeshwarinagar MLA's legal representative, Advocate Sadananda, refuted the claims, highlighting a lack of evidence and announcing plans to approach the high court.
