The political friction between BRS leaders and turncoat MLA Arekapudi Gandhi shows no signs of dying down as the war of words escalated on Friday. The spark was ignited by legislator P Kaushik Reddy's verbal attack on Gandhi.

To prevent any disorder, police placed key figures Kaushik Reddy and BRS Medchal district president Sambhipur Raju under house arrest. The law enforcement authorities made extensive security arrangements at Raju's residence to forestall further clashes.

Thursday's altercation at Kaushik Reddy's house saw supporters of both leaders engaged in a scuffle, leading to tense moments. Gandhi accused Kaushik Reddy of stoking regional tensions, while Reddy claimed Gandhi and his followers were undermining Hyderabad's image.

In a broader political fallout, BRS Working President K T Rama Rao highlighted the house arrests of party leaders, while T Harish Rao pointed fingers at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for orchestrating the chaos. Women Congress leaders have demanded Kaushik Reddy's disqualification for allegedly insulting women MLAs.
