Maharashtra BJP workers and leaders staged state-wide protests on Friday against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on reservation during his US visit.
Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule emphasized the need to inform the public about Gandhi's alleged anti-reservation mentality. In contrast, Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat condemned the BJP's actions as fake news and theatrics.
Gandhi, while addressing students at Georgetown University, mentioned that Congress would consider scrapping reservations once India becomes a fair society, which he believes it is not currently. Amidst this, the BJP announced widespread protests against Gandhi's 'anti-reservation' stance.
