The Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been celebrated as a triumph for truth. Punjab minister and AAP leader Harpal Singh Cheema expressed gratitude, stating, 'Thanks to the Supreme Court for granting bail to AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal in a false case by the BJP. I think this is a triumph for truth. The truth can't be suppressed; it has to come out one day,' Cheema remarked.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia welcomed the bail order, emphasizing that the Constitution acts as a shield regardless of who is in power. 'Nothing is above the Constitution in India. The Supreme Court's decision is not just for Arvind Kejriwal but an assurance that no dictator can override it... The arrest by the CBI was to halt the bail in the ED case. Kejriwal has Lord Ram's blessings and the shield of the Constitution,' he commented.

Delhi minister and AAP leader Gopal Rai stated, 'Congratulations to everyone. Delhi CM is coming out now. There is joy among people. This has sent a message across Delhi and the entire country that dictatorship loses one day, however strong it might be.' AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar added, 'All conspiracies against him have now failed. This is a big victory that the Supreme Court has granted him bail. The whole fake scam is now out. There will be a huge celebration when the son of Delhi arrives.'

On Friday, the Supreme Court granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a corruption case registered by the CBI over the alleged excise policy scam. The apex court cited that prolonged incarceration amounts to an unjust deprivation of liberty. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21, 2024, and later by the CBI on June 26, 2024, while in ED custody on charges relating to alleged irregularities in the now-cancelled Delhi excise policy 2021-22.
