Imran Khan, Pakistan's former Prime Minister, solicited relief on Saturday in the Al-Qadir corruption case, following the Supreme Court's decision to reinstate amendments to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws.

The apex court on Friday approved an intra-court appeal to restore the 2022 changes, which had been nullified in September last year.

During a hearing at Adiala Jail, where he has been held since last year, Khan contended that the restored amendments exempt the Al-Qadir Trust case — involving 190 million pounds of alleged corruption — from being prosecuted, as they grant immunity to all cabinet decisions.
