Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has vehemently criticized the BJP for attacking Rahul Gandhi's statements on reservations during his US visit. Gehlot accused the BJP of deliberately misinterpreting Gandhi's comments to stir public sentiment against the Congress leader.
Gehlot said, 'These people have tarnished Rahul Gandhi's image for a long time. Now, with Rahul as the Leader of Opposition and his notable performance, they are frustrated. The BJP is trying to mislead the public by twisting his words, but people can see through their tactics.'
Criticism over Gandhi's comments has come from multiple BJP leaders, including Amit Shah and Piyush Goyal, who accused him of a 'well-thought agenda to attack' PM Modi. Shah warned that the BJP will not let anyone abolish reservations, while Goyal labeled Gandhi's remarks as 'absolutely shameful.'
