The Congress has fired back at BSP supremo Mayawati after her scathing comments on Rahul Gandhi, alleging that she has taken on a 'contract' to support the RSS and BJP. Unorganised Workers & Employees Congress Chairman Udit Raj claimed that whenever Gandhi criticizes the RSS and BJP, Mayawati reacts negatively.
Mayawati recently accused Gandhi of making misleading statements about reservation and pointed out that his party did not pass the Bill on SC/ST reservation in promotions during its decade-long rule. The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister suggested that the Congress only supports SC, ST, and OBC interests when not in power.
Raj countered by stating that the BJP opposes reservation, while Gandhi aims to strengthen it. He accused Mayawati of supporting the BJP, adding that her political relevance must be ended. He also criticized her for neglecting health, reservation, and employment issues despite being chief minister four times. Raj lauded the Congress for its contributions to Babasaheb Ambedkar's legacy.
