The Rajasthan Government, led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, convened a cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday, making several pivotal decisions. Key among them was the approval of a 33% reservation for women in the police force. This move was facilitated by amending the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Service Rules, 1989.

Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa and Minister Jogaram Patel briefed the media post-meeting. Minister Patel underscored the state's commitment to solar energy, revealing that land has been allocated for its development, ensuring a steady electricity supply for farmers. Additionally, new reservations have been allocated for athletes excelling in the Paralympics and other sports.

The cabinet also approved increased gratuity and death benefits for state employees, raising the amount from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. Furthermore, employees are now entitled to an enhanced family pension for ten years, aligning with benefits provided to central employees. CM Sharma extended an invitation to industrialists to invest in Rajasthan, assuring a supportive environment for business growth and announced a forthcoming 'Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit 2024,' aimed at boosting state investment.
