Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of 'putting the country to shame' during his tour of the United States. Yadav challenged Gandhi to address issues in Congress-ruled states, notably recent violent crimes in Kolkata and Mhow.
Yadav made these remarks while speaking to reporters in Katni, where he was inaugurating several developmental projects. Responding to questions about an attack on two Army officers and the alleged rape of their woman friend near Mhow, Yadav emphasized his government's rapid response, which led to arrests within a day.
The chief minister elaborated that the government would not spare those involved in such crimes and that the law would follow its due course. He criticized Gandhi for ignoring serious issues in areas governed by his party while touring abroad.
