The BJP intensified its criticism of Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, accusing the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha of committing 'treason' due to his recent remarks in the United States.
BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra, at a press conference in the party headquarters, claimed that Gandhi's statements had damaged India's international image.
Patra said Gandhi's 'arrogance' in Parliament and 'foolishness' overseas were harmful, emphasizing that divisive comments about caste and religion in foreign lands constituted 'treason'. Patra also mocked Gandhi as a 'panauti' and highlighted Congress' electoral losses under his leadership, suggesting that the party's priority was making Gandhi prime minister at any cost.
