The Jannayak Janta Party-Azad Samaj Party (JJP-ASP) alliance announced 34 additional candidates for the Haryana assembly elections set for October 5.
Notably, the alliance is backing former minister Ranjit Singh Chautala in the Rania assembly seat after he recently left the BJP.
Chautala, who had joined the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, is running as an Independent again. The JJP-ASP alliance released its third list of 18 candidates, with 15 from the JJP and three from the ASP, just a day before nominations closed.
By evening, the JJP disclosed its fourth list, adding 10 more candidates, all party leaders. Additionally, another list named six candidates, split equally between the JJP and ASP.
The alliance specified candidates for several key constituencies, including Ellenabad, Yamunanagar, and Hisar among others. Previously, the JJP-ASP alliance had already released its first and second lists comprising 19 and 12 names respectively.
