India’s New Envoy Harish Starts Strong at UN

Harish arrived in New York last week and promptly began his duties as India's envoy to the world body, engaging in bilateral meetings with several high-profile UN leaders and his global counterparts.
Among his first meetings was a notable encounter with Dennis Francis, President of the 78th UN General Assembly session. Harish expressed on social media his appreciation for the General Assembly's support to India during Francis's Presidency, also reflecting on their discussion of various mutual interests.
In an interview with PTI, Francis described their discussion as "very expansive" and comprehensive. Harish also connected with other key figures such as UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Technology Amandeep Singh Gill, Egypt's Permanent Representative Osama Abdel Khalek, Bhutan's Permanent Representative Pema Lektup Dorji, Portugal's Ambassador Rui Vinhas, and Japan's Ambassador Yamazaki Kazuyuki.
