In a significant political development, the Marxists Coordination Committee (MCC) officially merged with the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation on Monday. The announcement was made by CPI(ML) Liberation General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya during a public event in Dhanbad's Golf Ground.
Founded in 1972 by AK Roy and other leaders, the MCC decided to unite with CPI(ML) Liberation to oppose the BJP. Bhattacharya stated that the merger aims to counteract the BJP's divisive policies and resource exploitation. He emphasized the necessity of this unification to prevent the BJP from gaining power in regions like Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
MCC working president Arup Chatterjee and Bagodar MLA Binod Singh highlighted the merger's potential to reshape the regional political scene. They stressed the demand for this unification and its role in presenting a formidable alternative to the BJP in North Chhotanagpur division.
