Maharashtra Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has disclosed that an internal survey suggests the party could win 85 seats in the forthcoming assembly elections. This information was revealed on Monday.
Wadettiwar added that senior leader Rahul Gandhi has been requested to actively participate in numerous rallies to amplify the Congress campaign. 'All parties conduct such surveys. Our survey, which covered 150 seats, shows us winning 85 seats. The Maha Vikas Aghadi will fight together and will ensure good governance to the people of Maharashtra,' he asserted.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi includes the Congress, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT), and Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (SP). In the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Congress won 13 out of 48 seats in Maharashtra, contributing to the MVA's total of 31 seats. Elections for Maharashtra's 288-member assembly are expected in November.
