The BJP launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi following his latest remarks in the United States, branding him a 'black spot' in Indian democracy.
Gaurav Bhatia, a national spokesperson for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accused Gandhi of attempting to undermine Indian democracy with his comments abroad. Bhatia tied these remarks to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) reportedly signed between the Congress and the Chinese Communist Party during the UPA rule.
During a press conference at the BJP headquarters, Bhatia mentioned Gandhi's criticisms of the RSS and stated, 'Everybody knows that Rahul Gandhi is an immature and part-time leader. But people have placed a significant responsibility on him since he became the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha.' Bhatia challenged Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to make the MoU public, insinuating that Gandhi's overseas comments were part of a larger scheme to weaken Indian democracy.
