Veteran actor Katie Holmes has paid a heartfelt tribute to her 'Dawson's Creek' co-star, Obi Ndefo, who recently passed away at 51. Ndefo's sister broke the tragic news on Facebook, sharing an emotional post featuring a photo of the siblings.

On Instagram Stories, Holmes posted a screenshot of a reel shared by another 'Dawson's Creek' co-star, Mary-Margaret Humes. Holmes wrote, 'He was wonderful to work with and such a kind man. I send prayers and grace to his family. Rest in Peace,' along with a heart emoji. Humes, remembered for her role as Gail Leery, also honored Ndefo with an emotional Instagram tribute.

'These words don't come easy. It's hard for me to conceive that you have left us, my dear friend,' Humes wrote. 'You always were and always will be a bright shining light. What an example of pure unfiltered love and tenacity you set as you faced life's challenges of recent.' Humes further expressed her intent to cherish their shared messages of support over the past few years, signing off with, 'Rest in peace sweet warrior.'

Obi Ndefo portrayed Bodie Wells, the boyfriend of Bessie Potter, on 'Dawson's Creek' from 1998 to 2002. His character lived with Holmes' character, Joey Potter, who was the younger sister of Bessie Potter.
